Regional is updating its fleet to expand its offering on 75-seat aircraft, and in July 2007 ordered twenty Embraer 170s and 190s, with seating capacity of 76 and 100 passengers respectively. This adds to the airline's first 6 Embraer 190's, which have been in operation in November 2006. Regional took delivery of 6 Embraer 170's in August 2009.
These latest generation aircraft are important for the growth of the airline, enabling it to improve fleet performance and quality of service.
The last of Regional's Brasilias, a 30-seat turbo-prop, was phased out in November 2008.
