EuroAirport, serving Basel and Mulhouse, is one of the only fully bi-national airports in the world.
Basel the Switzerland's third-largest city and has a lot to offer-particularly art. Its location is its biggest asset. It's on the Rhine River where Switzerland, France and Germany meet, which makes Basel a good base for exploring three scenic areas: the Jura (in Switzerland and France), the Vosges (France) and the Black Forest (Germany). The region is famous for its hiking, climbing, bouldering, skiing and paragliding.
There's plenty to see in the city as well. Start with the Munster, the red sandstone cathedral with multicolored roof tiles; its crypt contains the tomb of Erasmus. The 1513 Rathaus (town hall), with its painted red sandstone facade, and the surrounding Marktplatz are also worth seeing, especially for the lively produce market held on the scenic square every day except Sunday.
Basel's more than 30 museums are a testimony to its tradition of art patronage. Fondation Beyeler, designed by Renzo Piano, displays an impressive collection of artworks that range from Cezanne, Monet, van Gogh and Picasso to Warhol, Lichtenstein and Bacon. And Basel also hosts an incredible carnival, called Fasnacht, one of the most impressive in northern Europe. Another major event is Art Basel, the largest annual contemporary art show in Europe.

Mulhouse is a city in the south of Alsace, close to the border with Germany to the west (15km) and Switzerland to the south (30 km), and just one hour from Strasbourg.
The historic town centre is worth visiting, where you can take in the impressive medieval Place de la Reunion, the Town Hall and the Saint-Etienne Temple with its 14th century stained glass windows.
The city also features fantastic museums, such as the world-class National Automobile Museum, and splendid parks such as the Botanical Garden and Zoo.
